Haslemere Concerts website no longer reflected the quality of the organisation or the calibre of musicians appearing throughout its concert programme.
The website lacked the depth of content and visual impact needed to fully engage potential concertgoers, while the structure made it difficult to showcase individual concerts and provide visitors with a clear journey from discovering an event through to booking tickets.
The challenge was to retain the welcoming, community-led character of Haslemere Concerts while creating a much more professional and visually engaging online presence.
Objectives
The main objective was to create a website that would raise the profile of Haslemere Concerts and better communicate the quality and breadth of its chamber music programme.
The new website needed to make it easy for visitors to discover upcoming concerts, learn more about individual performances and artists, and access ticket booking through the existing third-party booking platform.
It also needed a distinctive visual identity that made greater use of the excellent photography available from previous concerts and visiting artists, while providing the charity with a flexible platform that could be easily updated and developed over time.
As part of the project, the organisation also moved away from its previous HHH Concerts identity and domain to the clearer Haslemere Concerts name and web address.
The Solution
A bespoke WordPress website built around the concert programme and the needs of its audience.
Striking artist and performance photography plays a central role throughout the design, giving the website a much stronger visual presence while reflecting the quality of the musicians and performances that Haslemere Concerts brings to the local community.
A dedicated What’s On section gives visitors an immediate overview of upcoming concerts, with individual event pages providing more detailed information about each performance and the artists involved. Clear calls to action then connect visitors directly with the external ticketing platform when they are ready to book.
The result is a professional, engaging and easy-to-manage website that retains the character of Haslemere Concerts while giving the charity a much stronger platform to promote its programme, reach a wider audience and support its activities in the years ahead.
